Melanie Machado is president and founder of Pacific Nutrition and Wellness and is a leading expert in the field of obesity, hyperlipidemia, diabetes as well as child and adolescent nutrition and sports nutrition.
Melanie is one of the founders of a state-of-the-art weight loss surgical program in Edmonds, Washington, and a sought after public speaker in the area of nutrition and motivational change.
Along with over 20 years of experience in medical nutrition therapy, she has given her time and expertise in medical development projects in the rural, poverty stricken areas of Oaxaca, Mexico. She has lead numerous medical campaigns through out her professional career. Melanie received her undergraduate degree in nutritional science at Seattle Pacific University, and her post-graduate education at the University of Washington.
Her programs and staff are highly regarded by the medical community.

Karin has worked in the medical field for 17 years and has excellent rapport and results with her patients. She received her medical training (BSN) at Washburn University in 1992, her master's in nursing at the University of Washington in 1999 and advanced lap band fill management training at Columbia University Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery.
She designs individual treatment plans for her patients using the most advanced medical knowledge along with a team of nutrition therapists, exercise physiologists and psychologists. She accepts all major insurances and is accepting new patients.
ARNP
is the founder of Survivorship Partners. She received her Masters from the University of Washington School of Nursing in 1995 and is certified through the ANCC as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
She has experience working in a variety of medical settings including primary care, women's health and oncology. Polly has spent the last 5 years at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance / Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center's Livestrong Survivorship Center of Excellence Clinic.
There, she instituted a comprehensive, multi-disciplinarian team approach to cancer survivorship and worked with Cancer Survivors of all diagnoses in all stages of survivorship. Her philosophy is one of empowering survivors to work towards a healthy lifestyle, which is essential to being well after cancer. "I believe in a comprehensive philosophy and I encourage each survivor to see themselves as so much more than their cancer. This holistic view is essential to optimizing their wellness. Establishing a partnership with each survivor is essential to improving their quality of life and well-being."
She served as a facilitator for Young Survival Coalition at Gilda's Club, in addition to authoring several articles and speaking about survivorship related topics. She is a contributing author to the Komen Publication "Finding Your Way to Wellness". She is married and a mother of three. Cristina received her masters degree from Bastyr University, a renowned naturopathic school in Kenmore, WA. She completed her medical nutrition internship at the University of Washington.
Cristina was integral in developing the diabetes program for Pacific Medical Centers and has been involved in a number of diabetes research projects including the Diabetes Prevention Program and Look Ahead. She is passionate about collaborating with her patients.
Chris is a licensed psychologist and life coach specializing in helping people creatively meet the challenge of change. She offers individual evaluations, coaching, psychotherapy, as well as group therapy, classes and workshops for those pursuing weight loss surgery.
She received her doctorate in Developmental Psychology from the University of Hawaii. She is highly effective and has a great reputation in the weight loss and weight loss surgery community.Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Terry Copeland, Ph.D. has been a licensed psychologist in Washington State since 1982. Dr. Copeland has extensive training and experience with addictive behaviors, and the treatment of depressive and anxiety disorders.
He has played the banjo for years and now plays music with his wife. You may see him often on his Honda motorcycle.
Medical Nutrition Therapist

Jennifer is a medical nutrition therapist specializing in weight loss surgery, weight management, child and maternal nutrition, sports nutrition, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
She was a nutrition coordinator at UC Davis Medical Center's weight loss surgery program and has co-authored several publications on successful weight loss with gastric bypass surgery.
She received her undergraduate degree at UC Davis, her nutrition internship was completed at Yale University and her graduated degree was completed at UC Davis in the area of child and maternal nutrition. She is an expert in medical nutrition and a highly effective counselor who can help bring permanent change in her patient's lives.
Medina received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington, which is one of the top natural health universities in the nation. She completed her dietetic internship at Utah State University.
Medina specializes in functional medicine. Her reputation in the medical community has made made her a sought-out nutritionist for patients with PCOS, insulin resistance, weight issues, digestive disorders and adrenal fatigue. She has given numerous presentations to school classes of all ages, community groups and businesses.

Jen Wyss graduated from Central Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science specializing in Clinical Physiology. Jen thoroughly enjoys working with her bariatric patients because she can teach the fundamentals of exercise.
Often her patients feel they have never been successful with exercise, they’re not athletic, don’t have time, or simply don’t know where to start. Jen’s mission is to build confidence in her patients while inspiring them towards their fitness goals.
Exercise Physiologist, Personal Trainer

Amanda Davis was born and raised in Missoula, MT. She graduated from the University of MT in 2000 with a degree in Exercise Science. After graduation Amanda moved to Washington state to become a Fitness Director for the Whatcom YMCA. She has been working in the fitness industry for over 17 years as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, group exercise coordinator, and fitness director.
When she is not working Amanda enjoys volunteering at her daughter's school, reading, cooking, working out, and spending time with her husband Chad and 6 year old daughter Ella. Amanda has completed 4 half marathons and loves helping others train for 5K, 10K, and half marathon races.
